Kim,Seyong
Kim, Se-yong, a ceramic artist, has lived with earth for the past 40 years. It is no exaggeration to say that all his heart is in earth. Earth is inseparable from his life. Earth is brought to life by his touches. His spirit and heart melt into earth. Kim had three goals, starting his pottery career: first, creating the most beautiful colored celadon porcelain; second, creating the finest celadon porcelain; and third, creating the largest celadon porcelain. He chose to achieve these goals through openwork, which is the hardest and slowest path. After 40 years of his pottery career, he now feels that he is somewhat close to his goals. He now wants to show and share his works of painstaking efforts with those who he care for, desiring to brighten the world with the light of life found in earth and devoted throughout his youth.
